The year 2016 gave India some great sporting moments right from star raiders conquering the World Kabaddi title for the eighth time to Indian cricket team's rise to the no.1 spot in Test cricket. Several noteworthy young performers from India emerged as national and international sports icons. With that said, we have seen a tremendous change in how sports have been perceived beyond cricket and gained new supporters for other sports too.
